Pol Espargaro praises Dani Holgado’s maturity in pursuit of MotoGP dream
Speaking further in the interview, Espargaro applauded Holgado for the way he handled the pressure and speculation surrounding his MotoGP future with great maturity.
“When you’re such a young rider it’s very difficult to manage these situations, although Danny is very mature for his age, he’s more mature than me at my age.
“He was able to handle these situations with great maturity, and the environment I mentioned earlier helped him a lot to negotiate these situations emotionally.
“It’s not just the pressure of the competition and the weight of being one of the top contenders, it means a lot.
But the rumors on social media and in the press, ‘If they put you here, they’ll put you there,’ and that’s really hard to manage. So the environment is very important, and I’m very confident that Danny has it.
As things stand, there’s no word on which team, if any, Holgado has approached and joined to begin his MotoGP career.
With some veteran drivers looking unlikely to retain their current seats, Holgado will have a chance to earn a spot on the track next season.
