“I told him, ‘It’s time. All that talk and that pressure yesterday. It’s time,'” Foster told DAZN Boxing after the weigh-in. “I walked right on him. You see what it is.”
“I’m coming straight with it. No bull s***. It’s time. I’m ready. That s*** was soft.”
Foster was unimpressed by Ford’s push and predicted a one-sided performance when they met in the ring.
“He damn near pushed himself off the stage. He’s a little boy, and I’m going to show him tomorrow, him and his whole team. Man, I’m going to dominate,” Foster said. “I hear all the 50-50 talk. I hear it all. I’m going to show you there are levels, and I’m going to be victorious.”
The Houston native also said he intends to answer critics who continue to question his position at the top of the division.
“They’re not going to doubt my skills anymore. They’ve got Ford making excuses. I’ve got to show them again that I’m the truth, and that you can’t count me out or any of these guys close to me. I’m going to show them,” O’Shaquie said.
“Hey, I’m excited. I’m ready, and excited, man. The weight is made easy. It’s going to be a hell of a fight.”
Foster appeared energized throughout the weigh-in, seizing the opportunity to defend his title in front of a hometown crowd.
The Foster-Ford main event headlines a DAZN card from Houston on Saturday night, with Foster making another defense of the WBC super featherweight title against the former featherweight champion.
Foster sounds confident that the pre-fight debate will end this weekend. Now he must back it up against one of the division’s most talented challengers.
