Riding his Leopard Racing Honda on Pirelli Control tires, the Spaniard covered the 3.26-mile (5.25 km) road course in 2:09.930 to top the field of 26 riders.
Joel Esteban was the best of the rest with a 2:10. 169 in his LEVEL UP – MTA KTM.
Maximo Quiles on the CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team KTM was third with a lap time of 2:10.264.
