The MotoGP team and all 11 MotoGP teams have signed an agreement governing their participation in the FIM MotoGP World Championship from 2027 to 2031.
Team agreements complete the 2027-2031 management and commercial framework after MotoGP’s deal with manufacturers was recently confirmed.
The 11 teams are Aprilia Racing, BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP, Ducati Lenovo Team, Honda HRC Castrol, LCR Honda, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Red Bull KTM Tech3 and Superfile Team.
The agreements ensure the teams’ long-term involvement in MotoGP and provide a strong platform for the next phase of the sport under the 2027 regulations. Together, MotoGP, its teams, manufacturers and FM share a vision to strengthen the championship, enhance the fan experience and support its continued international development.
The new framework will strengthen the teams’ role as a key stakeholder in MotoGP’s future, giving them greater certainty and confidence to increase investment in the sport’s key pillars – performance, fan engagement and commercial opportunity. It also recognizes the importance of maintaining 11 equal teams, each with its own identity, history and identity, contributing to a more dynamic and exciting championship for fans to follow.
The agreements will introduce enhanced promotional and marketing commitments within the paddock, helping to promote the teams, riders and championships globally. By strengthening the visibility and individuality of each team, MotoGP creates deeper relationships with its fans and creates new opportunities for business growth in all markets.
MotoGP Team CEO Carmelo Izpeleta: “Signing this agreement with the teams is an important moment for MotoGP, establishing the framework that will govern the championship until at least 2031. Together with the manufacturers, the FIM and the stakeholders, we have built a strong foundation for the next era of the sport.
“This agreement gives the teams more stability, strengthening their central role in the championship. We are proud to have 11 teams, each with a distinct identity and contribution to MotoGP. Combined with enhanced promotional commitments, this will bring fans closer to the action and strengthen the sport’s global appeal.”
“I want to thank the teams for their cooperation and constructive approach to this process. We share a clear ambition: to provide the best and safest racing in the world, grow our global audience and create more value for fans, partners and stakeholders.”
Lucio Cecchinello, President of IRTA: “I am delighted to confirm that all MotoGP teams have reached an agreement with MotoGP Group for the 2027-2031 period, as well as laying the foundations for future renewals beyond that period.
“This agreement represents a very important step forward, giving all teams the stability, confidence and resources to continue investing in the Championship by undertaking long-term high-profile sporting projects.
“I would like to sincerely thank the MotoGP Group, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Carlos Ezpeleta and all the teams for the constructive spirit shown in the discussion. The process requires time, attention and responsibility from all parties. But without a doubt, the end result is the future of our sport and the world-class entertainment MotoGP continues to provide.”
