Denmark’s Invincible in Brno on Friday. The Malaysian rookie was quick out of the hole on the first day of track action.
A perfect Friday to start the weekend, Hakim Danish (AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI) was excellent to finish the first day of action in Moto3 in Brno. The Malaysian set a better lap record in the afternoon as he went in search of his first pole on Saturday.
Unstoppable on Friday, the Dane was lighting up the timing screens in both FP1 and practice, finally adding to the opening day of Moto3 action. David Almansa (LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP) was the only man to get into the 2’04s on Friday with two riders in both sessions. Third at the end of the race was the championship leader Maximo Quiles (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team), a quarter of a second behind the Malaysian in P1.
Second in the title race and just one place behind Quiles, Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) was fourth and ahead of Joel Esteban (LEVELUP-MTA) to round out the top five. Scott Ogden (CIP Green Power) is sixth ahead of Italian GP winner Brian Uriarte, just 0.020 behind the Spaniard. Top Honda honors went to Jesus Rios (Rivacold Snipers Team), while Red Bull KTM Tech3 duo Rico Salmella and Valentin Perrone rounded out the top ten.
A late challenge from Guido Pini (Tiger Racing) saw him check in P14, Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia), Ryusei Yamanaka (AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI), Adrián Cruces (CIP GreenPower), Adrián Fernández (Tiger Racing), Marco Morelli (Aspard Gaviore Team Squadra Corse). They will find themselves in Q1. The latter two have faced major setbacks on multiple occasions on turn 6 but will aim to rectify that on Saturday.
