David Tardozzi Doctors Tell Ducati Marc Marquez ‘Will Never Recover’ From Injury

Marquez has started his comeback from injury after undergoing the 10th operation of his MotoGP career in May. The 33-year-old went under the knife to correct a nerve problem in his right shoulder caused by an injury last October.

A major setback in the Le Mans Sprint also saw Marquez need surgery on his leg to correct a shoulder problem. Tardozi Now he believes Marquez’s shoulder is in the best possible shape at this point, but he still needs to regain muscle in it.

Doctors have told Ducati that Marquez will not return to full fitness, especially not to the extent he enjoyed before suffering a career-threatening arm injury at Jerez in 2020. Marquez’s height at Jerez destroyed his right arm, and it ruined the next four years.

“It’s not because he doesn’t have strength, but mainly because he doesn’t have the feeling in his right hand. Unfortunately, it has to be said that some issues will last forever. Therefore, he still needs to improve a little and build muscle mass. This will happen in the next two months.

“In my view, according to what the doctors have told us, Mark will not be back to his pre-2020 form. But he will definitely be healthy again.”
