Miltiadis Tentoglu clears 8.49m WL, Emmanuel Karalis 6.00m – runblogrun

LIMASOL (GRE, May 29). Two top stars of Greek athletics highlighted the EKO Cyprus International Meet (WACT Bronze). First two-time Olympic winner Miltiadis Tentoglu scored a world-leading 849 (-0.6) on his last attempt. He also had 804, 814, 829 and 819 in series. Emanuel Karalis took off in the pole vault when others had already finished, clearing 565 on his second attempt, then 585 on his first and 600 on his first. Twice he attempted 615 and then ended the contest. Home star Milan Trajkovic won the 110m hurdles in 13.54 (+0.3) and young home star Iosif Kesidis won the hammer in 77.84 NR. Excellent PB 682 (+0.8) for Ukraine’s Iryna Budzynska in the long jump. American Rainia Jones won the hurdles in 12.99 (0.0) and Canada’s Sad McCreath won the 100m in 11.31 (0.0). Elena Kulichenko won the high jump at 189. Estonia’s Anri Sy won the 200m in 20.73 (0.0) and Romania’s Mihai Dringo won the 400m in 46.01.
