“The only thing I haven’t achieved in my life is to be a world champion. So, I think that’s one thing that keeps me going,” Fury told DAZN Boxing.
“Financially making sure we’re good, good, because I’ve got another kid on the way now, and that’s it. Everything is for them. You want to make sure they’re financially secure the best way you can.”
The comments come at an unusual point in Fury’s career. The undefeated 27-year-old holds an 11-0 record and remains one of boxing’s most recognizable crossover stars, but he is not currently ranked among the top 15 contenders by the WBC, WBA, IBF or WBO.
His upcoming opponent, Hall, is making just his second professional boxing appearance. The bout is being promoted as part of Misfits Boxing’s “Beauty vs The Beast” event, a card built around entertainment and crossover appeal rather than championship positioning.
Fury has already achieved significant financial success away from traditional title fighting. Celebrity Net Worth estimates his net worth to be around $4 million (£3 million), thanks to a combination of boxing purses, reality television fame, sponsorships and social media success.
While Fury continues to talk openly about winning a world title, his current schedule offers few clues as to how he plans to enter the cruiserweight contender picture. His next assignment is another high-profile crossover event rather than a fight against a ranked opponent, leaving the gap between his championship ambitions and his boxing position as wide as ever.
