Germany vs Netherlands: Preview, Predictions and Lineups

Two great international rivals collide on Monday night as Germany take on the Netherlands at the Allianz Arena.

It’s rarely a dull occasion when these two meet, and the reverse fixture in Amsterdam was a belter with the spoils shared in a 2-2 draw.

Germany have since taken command of Group A3 and will go into Monday’s clash after beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1 on Thursday. Julian Nagelsmann’s side also showed plenty of promise at Euro 2024 before being beaten in extra time by eventual winners Spain in the quarter-finals.

The Netherlands were semi-finalists in the summer before succumbing to a last-gasp strike from Ollie Watkins, and have started their 2024/25 Nations League campaign unbeaten. However, a draw in Hungary on Thursday means they trail Germany in the group, and could do with a win in Munich to boost their chances of playing in next year’s finals.
