Kabayel retains interim title with TKO of Damian Knyba


Knyba started well in the opening round, using his jab to control distance and open a small cut under Kabayel’s right eye. Kabayel adjusted in the second round and increased his output. In the third, Kabayel landed clean right hands that cut Knyba across the left eyebrow and left him unable to defend himself effectively.

In the co-main event, Petar Milas stopped Granit Shala in the tenth and final round of their IBF International heavyweight bout. Milas scored two takedowns in the final round before Shala’s corner threw in the towel at 1:30 of the round.

Milas rallied after falling behind early and outworked Shala over the second half of the fight before finishing strong in the tenth.

Jadier Herrera stopped Ricardo Nunez in the eighth round to win the vacant WBC interim lightweight title. Herrera was dropped in the first round but recovered and gradually took control before the referee stopped the fight after a sustained exchange.

Gleb Bakshi stopped Juan Jose Rodriguez Duran in the first round of their middleweight fight.

Oronzo Birardi knocked out Milosav Savic in the fourth round of a scheduled eight-round cruiserweight fight.

Kevin Saszik stopped Brian Swart in the first round of their heavyweight contest.

Daniel Dietz and Seun Salami fought to a six-round majority draw.

Nelvie Tiafack stopped Piotr Cwik in the second round of their six-round heavyweight fight.

Roman Fury stopped Kevin Greenwood in the fourth round of a scheduled six-round fight.

Nelson Burchill earned a fifth round stoppage over Wibert Panttin after Panttin’s corner refused to continue to the fifth round.

Ring announcer was Mark Bergmann.
