Scott, a former amateur turned longtime professional, and Curry both had their moments early on. In the first round, the fighters exchanged evenly. In the second round, a clash of heads after the opening minute caused a cut over Curry’s right eyebrow, with some blood also coming from her nose. Action continued for the rest of the round with both landing clean shots.
Scott seemed to gain momentum in the third round as Curry’s shots were often wide. Curry answered in the fourth, landing left hooks to the chin as Scott countered with right hands. The fifth round was closely contested, with Scott holding a slight edge.
Curry had success at close range in the sixth round, with a narrow frame. Scott answered in the seventh, landing left hooks while Curry returned right hands. In the eighth, Scott pushed Curry to the ropes late in the round, who appeared to be taking another close stanza.
The ninth round saw continued exchanges, with Curry finishing strong before Scott landed a right hand at the bell. In the tenth and final round, both fighters pushed the pace with the decision in doubt. Scott again had Curry against the ropes in the closing seconds.
The judges scored the fight 98–92 for Scott, 95–95, and 97–93 for Scott. Mark Nelson was the referee.
In the co-main event, former WBC super welterweight champion Tony “Super Bad” Harrison of Detroit stopped Argentina’s Brian “Aliante” Chaves in the fourth round of a scheduled 10-round bout.
The first round was competitive until the final minute, when Chaves briefly stunned Harrison with a right cross to the chin. Harrison responded immediately, landing several unanswered punches and dropping Chaves for an eight count from referee Ansel Stewart as the round ended.
Chaves recovered in the second round and held his own, although Harrison remained in control. The third round saw both fighters trade off as the action picked up. In the closing seconds, Harrison landed a right hand that dropped Chaves for a second eight count. Chaves also suffered a cut over his right eyebrow.
Harrison pressed for a stoppage in the fourth round and dropped Chaves for the third time with a left hook to the body, prompting referee Stewart to wave the bout off at 2:59 of the round.
Former 2022 US National Amateur Champion Price Taylor remained undefeated with an eight-round decision over Michael Coffie in a heavyweight bout.
Taylor controlled much of the action with steady pressure and combinations, especially in the middle rounds. Coffie, fighting for the first time in two years, had moments of success and finished strongly, backing Taylor into the turns in the final round.
The judges scored the fight twice 79–73 and 80–72. Ben Rodriguez served as referee.
In the opener, heavyweight southpaw Sardius Simmons of Flint, Michigan scored a first-round knockout over Colby “King” Madison of Baltimore, Maryland.
Simmons dropped the veteran with a left hook to the side of the head at the one-minute mark of the opening round, prompting referee Mark Nelson to stop the fight.
