Cameron Young finally caught his first PGA Tour victory at last year’s Wyndham Championship, and since then the floodgates have opened for the veteran pro. He was one of the few bright spots on the US Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black, and then he backed up his first win in a big way by winning the 2026 Players Championship.
In his next event, Young contested the 2026 Masters, eventually finishing T3.
Heading into Saturday’s third round of this week’s Cadillac Championship, Young has his eyes firmly set on victory no. 3. Through two rounds, he’s built a five-shot lead, 13 under par so far with Trump The Blue Monster of Doral.
His closest followers to start the third round are Jordan Spiethlooking for his first win since 2022, and Nick Taylor.
Meanwhile, the all-new Pro PGA Tour Alex Fitzpatrick is T6 at six under in his first appearance in a signature event. World number 1 Scottie Scheffler is in the same position after shooting a 67 on Friday.
