Lightweight golf shoes can provide more feedback and potentially save you energy during your round. If you walk a lot when you play golf, this might be just what you’re looking for.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a shoe as light as your favorite running shoe, but I’ve put together a list of four strong contenders that will feel light on your feet and be easy to transport to and from the course.

of adidas Adipower 26 it’s a great lightweight option compared to other studded models from this year’s 2026 most wanted test.
The testers evaluated two specific aspects of the Adipower 26:
- of Adipower 26 it is not only easy but affordable. Coming in at $140 is no small feat for a high performance, lightweight golf shoe.
- This might be the most durable studded golf shoe of 2026. If stability is a priority, this is for you.
The only potential downside is reduced comfort, but that’s always a concern when it comes to lightweight golf shoes.

of Under Armor Drive Pro Clone it is specially made for those who always walk on the golf course.
As I mentioned with the Adipower 26, it’s not uncommon to lose comfort when reducing the weight of a golf shoe. Under Armor figured out the recipe with Drive Pro Clone creating a golf shoe that not only maintains comfort, but offers superior comfort without adding weight.
Furthermore, the traction was noted to be able to hold in any condition. If you reside in a geographic location that contains a variety of conditions, Drive Pro Clone it will do everything you need it to do.
The only possible drawback is less stability due to a wider fit. If you have wide feet, you’re in luck. If you don’t, you can expect a slight loss of stability.

of Alma Mater Beta Lite was named the most comfortable studless golf shoe of 2026 by our testers.
Looks and fits like a sneaker while retaining the lightweight title. If you’re going for a more casual look on the golf course, Beta Lite may be the most comfortable option.
Jordan 1 Low G, Pluto P1 and Reebok Club C walk like this Alma Mater Beta Lite could fly.
The only downside is a higher price, but let’s be honest, you get what you pay for. of Alma Mater Beta Lite it’s big.

of FootJoy Pro/SL features quality performance at a fraction of the cost of other top FJ models ($185).
The testers labeled it FootJoy Pro/SL as “the most comfortable golf shoe on the planet”. To go with that, the Pro/SL is as durable as they come.
Usually, the cushioning takes a slight hit due to the lightweight nature and overall structure of the shoe. Don’t get me wrong: the pad isn’t bad, our testers noted that it’s firmer and more responsive than it is “scratchy.”
Shutting down thoughts
Although these four golf shoes take the cake in terms of lightweight design, there are many other options that may be better suited to your situation/golf game.
We test dozens of golf shoes each year focusing on how they will help you on the course. Curious how we test golf shoes? Here are the things we consider:
