Neil Hodgson thinks Pramac’s Toprak Razgatlioglu crashed out of I Ogura in FP1 at the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix, as the trackhouse ace was “caught” by misdirection.
Razgatlioglu arrived at Balaton Park on Sunday with the ambition of securing his first top-10 finish as a MotoGP rider. Hungarian GPThey enjoyed his visit to the circuit last year in the World Superbike Championship. He won all three WSBK races in 2025 at Balaton Park.

Torak Razgatlioglu misjudged Ai Ogura’s braking in the FP1 crash at Balaton Park.
Razgatlioglu has had a challenging start in MotoGPHe had to learn most of the tracks as well as adapt to Yamaha’s new-for-2026 V4 bike and Michelin tires. He has yet to finish a Grand Prix higher than P13, which he secured in France for three of his four points.

Friday’s first practice session at Balaton Park did not start well for Razgatlioglum, who fell on the back of Ogura. Hodgson feels Razgatlioglu just got it wrong. Ogura It was supposed to brake and the Pramac pilot needed to take full responsibility for the accident.

Razgatlioglu held his hand up and apologized to Ogur for his first incident in FP1 at the Hungarian GP, which broke a small piece off the rear end of the trackhouse star’s Aprilia RS-GP. The incident ultimately did not have a major impact on either of their units.
Ogura went on to finish FP1 ahead of both factory Aprilia drivers with the seventh-fastest lap time. Razgatlioglu finished 10th in FP1 at the Hungarian GP, while Marc Marquez clocked 1:38.626, ahead of factory competitor Fabio Quatararo, the fastest Yamaha rider.
Razgatlioglu saw out FP1 within 0.772 seconds of Marquez’s benchmark, putting him in a strong position to achieve his target. Because of his love for Balaton Park, Razgatlioglu is targeting the top 10 in the Hungarian GP. As he feels the circuit stop start layout suits him.
