Georges Martin won the French Grand Prix in a thrilling battle with Aprilia team-mate Marco Bezecchi, taking the double from the third row of the grid at Le Mans.

The Spaniard put in another impressive performance to take his first Grand Prix victory for Aprilia. Bezechichi He led for most of the race but had to hold off Trackhouse’s Ai Ogura for second to take his first MotoGP podium.

George Martin beat Marco Bezecchi in a tense French Grand Prix

Bezecchi closed the gap at the front in the early stages, but Bagnaia used his new comfort on the Ducati GP26 to climb back into P2. After passing, Quatraro made a dramatic move down the inside of Acosta.

The Ducati rider looked to close the gap to Bezecchi, but in Aprilia Rider maintained the lead, allowing Acosta to put pressure on Bagnaia behind him. It soon became too difficult for the Italian, because he lost in front of 16 rounds and retired from the competition.

After Bagnaia pulled out, it opened the door for Bezeci to take over the race, and Aprilia for another one-two. Martin He had a strong pace throughout the season and passed Acosta in the closing stages of P2.

Martin set his sights on catching his teammate for the win, closing the gap at every lap, while Ogura was the fastest driver in the final laps as he pushed the Aprilia 1-2-3. The Trackhouse rider passed Acosta brilliantly on lap 23.

Martin was right behind Bezeci for the final five laps, making it two laps with an unbelievable late lunge on the third-to-last lap. The Spaniard made it his first MotoGP race win since 2024, with Bezcicci and Ogura closing out the podium.
