David Munoz led Moto3 World Championship practice at Le Mans in France on Friday afternoon. Munoz used a Pirelli-shod Leaky Molly Dynavolt Intact GP KTM to lead the field of 26 to lap the 2.6-mile (4.19 km) track in 1:40.211.
Teammate David Almansa was second best with a time of 1:40.225.
Marco Morelli led the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team KTM to claim third and final place with a lap time of 1:40.296.
Hakeem Danish on the MT Helmets MSI KTM finished fourth with a time of 1:40.443.
Red Bull KTM’s Ajo Brian Uriarte finished fifth in the session with a lap time of 1:40.598.

Munoz shined at Le Mans to celebrate in France on Friday. The Spaniard led his team-mate home on the opening day of the French GP in the hunt for victory and his last podium finish in Jerez 12 months ago.
The first Moto3 action at Le Mans, France was a great display from David Munoz (Leaky Moly Dinamoult Intact GP). The French GP never let us down and Munoz, who was in contention for victory last year, will be looking to take his first win of the 2026 campaign.
The #64 was in the lead positions for most of the session before edging out teammate David Almansa from the top spot in the closing stages. Almansa was in P1 for most of the session before Muñoz dropped down the order late on. Almansa crashed on the last flying lap in turn 8 but was all right. Completing the top three was Argentine star Marco Morelli (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team), who was in fine Friday form.
Behind the top three, Hakim Danish (AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI) is a solid fourth ahead of late charging Brian Uriart (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Jerez stage winner Adrian Fernandez (Tiger Racing). Other headliners in the top ten were Scott Ogden (CIP Greenpower) in seventh place for the team’s home GP and championship leader Maximo Quiles (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) starting laps in P8, but it was a strong Friday for the grade.
At the checkered flag they were the main names who found themselves in the top 14 and thus into Q1. COTA winner Guido Pini (Tiger Racing) was just 15.Th After a crash, Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo), second in the standings and leading the opening FP1 session at Le Mans, could only manage P17. Joel Esteban (LEVELUP-MTA) has been on the front two rows for the past three GPs but needs to get through Q1 to keep his streak alive.
