Niccolo Bulega has received high praise from Ducati MotoGP boss Luigi Daligna for his recent clean sweep in the Czech Republic.

With arch-rival Toprak Razgatlioglu now in MotoGP, he dominates WSBK in Bulega’s absence. So far in 2026, the Ducati rider has won every race, leading the championship with 95 points by Iker Lecuona.

Such dominance is attracting the attention of the MotoGP paddock. Bulega is interested in entering the grid in 2027 thanks to the rule changes.

As the MotoGP rider market continues to shift, Fabio Di Gianntonio is releasing the VR46, which could now open up a vacancy at Ducati. Bulega has been linked, amid rumors Dale Igna has been waxing lyrical about the Italian after winning all three races in Chechia.

In a behind-the-scenes video on Ducati’s YouTube channel, Daleignan is seen watching WSBK during a stop at the Catalan Grand Prix.

As Bulega crossed the line to win the second race, “Niccolo is a machine, well done Niccolo, well done!” He said.

A Ducati engineer then said, “We have the favorites for championship racing at WDW,” to which Dale Igna replied, “Maybe.”

The comments come as the 26-year-old re-enters the frame for a MotoGP seat. Initially, things looked bleak for Gresini as he showed no interest in signing Bulega and Di Giannantonio looked more likely to stay with Fermin Aldegger at the VR46.

However, with Diggia now joining KTM, space has opened up again. Valentino Rossi wants to sign the Italian and he is among the four riders that Bulega has mentioned in Barcelona.

Seven-time MotoGP champion Bulega is battling Franco Morbidelli, Luca Marini and Celestino Vetti for the seat. With his form in WSBK, the talent for the premier class in 2027 will be hard to ignore.
