Josh Padley retains the European title with a split decision over Aqib Fiaz

The fight became more and more physical as it progressed. Fiaz was warned several times for low blows before referee Kevin Parker deducted a point in the 11th round. That deduction ended up being costly in a fight that was now contested on the scorecards.

Padley finished strongly in the final round as both fighters looked to claim victory.

When the scores were announced, Padley was awarded the split decision with scores of 115-112 and 114-113, while the third judge favored Fiaz 114-113.
