Ai Ogura shines on his ‘unbelievable’ first MotoGP podium at the French Grand Prix
Last weekend, Ogura completed his first-ever podium as a MotoGP rider in third place with Aprilia factory pair Marco Bezecchi and Jorge Martin.
The 25-year-old became the first Japanese rider to stand on the MotoGP podium since Katsuyuki Nakasuga at the 2012 Valencia Grand Prix.
Reflecting on his success, Ogura said Autohebdo“What can I say, it’s amazing, the race was tough, I tried to attack from the start, but I lost a few places and had to fight to get back.
“The race was not easy, but in the end I had a good pace, I’m very happy for my mechanics and my team, we celebrate!”
