Frank Warren says Tyson Fury will do what Daniel Dubois did to Joshua

Frank Warren believes Tyson Fury will not only defeat Anthony Joshua when the long-awaited heavyweight showdown finally takes place, but stop him.

The all-British clash is targeted for November after being delayed from an earlier summer date. Warren confirmed that Fury had signed on for the fight in January, with both men expected to come through interim fights before the contest becomes official.

When asked how he sees the fight going, Warren made it clear that he expects Fury to emerge victorious and pointed to Joshua’s knockout loss to Daniel Dubois as a big factor.

“I think Tyson wins,” Warren told Secondsout, predicting a knockout for Tyson Fury over Joshua.

“I think Tyson will stop him.

“Did you see him fight Daniel Dubois? That’s what gives me that confidence. I was confident that Daniel Dubois was going to do it, and he did it, and I’m confident that Tyson will do the same thing in quick time, whatever catches him.”

Warren also suggested earlier in the interview that Joshua is still carrying the consequences of the Dubois defeat.

“He’s got that ghost and that cloud over him from what happened when he fought Daniel Dubois. So, you know, he’s vulnerable if he gets caught now,” Warren says.

Joshua is scheduled to return against Kristian Pregna on July 25, while Fury is expected to have a warm-up fight of his own before November. Warren said the venue for the proposed blockbuster has not yet been finalised, although he confirmed the fight remains signed and on track to take place later this year, provided both heavyweights win their respective outings.
