But our data tells a more nuanced story once you start breaking down the results by moving speed. of Qi4D is the right driver for many golfers. It is not the right driver for every golfer. And if you fall into one of the categories below, our test data suggests you might be better served elsewhere.

How Qi4D performed in all three speed categories
Before we get into the specifics, here’s how Qi4D scored in each of our swing speed divisions.

Slow swingers who struggle with accuracy
of Qi4D it finished ninth overall in our slow swing speed test, which is a solid result and was TaylorMade’s best driver for slower swingers. But his accuracy score was the worst category at this speed. He ranked 19th for straight rate at 55.9 percent and 26th for playable percentage at 94.5 percent out of 42 drivers. For a golfer with a slow swing speed who has trouble keeping the ball in play, these numbers matter.
The slow-speed leaderboard looks quite different from the overall test results with LA GOLF winning the category and Srixon finishing second and third.
What the data suggests instead: Within the TaylorMade range, Qi4D Max posts a higher rate of play at slow speed, but gives up about four yards of total distance to get there. If you’re open to other brands, the LA GOLF driver was the most accurate in our entire slow speed test at 64.8 percent straight and 97.6 percent playable.
Golfers who need the absolute lowest spin numbers
of Qi4D it is not a low revving driver. At average speeds, 20 drivers in our test produced lower torque. If your fitter identifies torque reduction as a priority, there are better options in the 2026 field.
But there is an important difference. Our testing found Qi4D ranks among the top six drivers in the entire 2026 test for rolling stability across the face. Low average spin and steady spin are two different things, and the Qi4D excels at the latter.
High swing speed golfers who want maximum distance
This comes with an important caveat. The gap is there, but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed with the right fit.
With high swing speed, Qi4D averaged 290.6 yards of total distance. of Callaway Quantum Max average 295.7. For most golfers with high swing speeds, five yards is not an obstacle, and the Qi4D’s overall distance score of 9.2 is still excellent.
But if you’re going over 105 mph and maximum distance is your primary goal, Callaway Quantum Max is the longest driver in our 2026 high speed test.
High speed golfers who need forgiveness
This is perhaps the most surprising finding in the entire data set.
With high swing speed, Qi4D ranks 28th out of 42 drivers in playability rating at just 73.2 percent. This means that more than one in four high-swing speed shots end up in a position that is difficult to play from. For a club that won the overall test, this is a remarkable find.
of Qi4D wins the high speed category through distance and accuracy, not forgiveness. His 55.9 percent straightaway rate ranks third in the entire high-speed test. But when it does lose, it’s less forgiving than 27 other test drivers.
What the data suggests instead: of G440 MAX PING it’s the firmest option for high speed golfers who need more forgiveness. He has an 81.7 percent rushing rate to Qi4D’s 73.2, scores 9.1 overall and gives up just a few yards of distance to get there. If forgiveness is your priority at this speed, it’s worth adding to your fitting session along with it Qi4D.
