When I tried on my first pair Tomo Alpha Golf Shoes a couple of years ago, I was amazed by the instant comfort and breathability. Not to mention the style was one I had never seen before in a non-studded golf shoe.
The shoes were a hit, especially for golfers (like me) with wider feet who have struggled to find a sturdy pair of golf shoes to relieve pesky foot pain.
Now, the West Coast brand has upgraded with the ultra-comfortable, fully waterproof Anthem line. They are slightly more traditional golf shoes, with premium leather used as the main material. But they still have their Tomo Golf flair with bold colors and fun patterns.

The Anthem, our flagship model from the Performance Line, is designed for serious players who demand more from their shoes. Constructed with premium full-grain leather and 100% waterproof protection, it features our advanced FLEX sole technology for superior comfort and feel. Built to handle any weather, terrain or condition, the Anthem delivers uncompromising performance. Built for walking, it offers all-day comfort on and off the court—ideal for players who value function and comfort.

Tomo isn’t afraid to show red on their shoes and it stands out on the course. The red soles make the black and white Anthem shoes really pop. But the Pine Green option on the Anthem is my personal favorite, with a two-tone earthy design on top and a green rainforest-like scene that only reveals itself if you take a proper downward turn.
These spikeless shoes are perfect for golfers who know that walking on the golf course is the best way to participate in your round. They are as comfortable as sneakers, so I usually don’t change shoes at all before or after rounds, driving and running errands on the way back from the course with no problem.
So if you’re after a reasonably priced golf shoe with maximum comfort (and fun, non-traditional design choices), I encourage you to give these a try.
