The atmosphere was feverish during the candid showcase session featuring Chepauk’s iconic duo. MS Dhoni and Raina shares the field again. Facing the trickery of CSK’s Afghan spin sensation, Nur AhmedRaina looked everything Mr. IPL fans fell in love with over a decade ago.

Raina and Mathew Hayden became the first inductees into the CSK Hall of Fame
While Vintage six provided the entertainment, the emotional core of the event was Raina and Matthew Hayden to a prestigious place CSK Hall of Fame. For the Yellow Army, these two names represent the beginning of their dominion Indian Premier League.
Raina’s induction was a foregone conclusion. Between 2008 and 2021, Raina was the heartbeat of the franchise, amassing 5,529 runs in 200 appearances. From his match-winning heroics in the 2010 final to becoming the first player in IPL history to cross the 5,000-run mark, Raina’s legacy has woven itself into the very fabric of the team’s four titles.
Joining him was the “Haidosu” of the early years. Hayden redefined aggression at the top of the order for CSK in 2009, wielding the Mongoose bat and securing the franchise’s first Orange Cap.
