The MLB offseason is heating up as more and more free agents sign contracts with teams through the 2025 season.
Juan Soto, the top free agent in this year’s class, has yet to make a decision on where he will play next season.
The Boston Red Sox are one of the teams in the Soto sweepstakes, but the team is eyeing another free agent if they can’t sign Soto.
Teoscar Hernandez of the Los Angeles Dodgers is another free agent this offseason, and he has revealed which teams he would like to play for in 2025.
According to Pete Abraham of The X, Hernandez would prefer to stay with the Dodgers, but has long been interested in the idea of playing at Fenway Park.
Through several sources. Teoscar Hernandez has told people he’d rather stay with the Dodgers, but he’s long been interested in the idea of playing at Fenway Park, and he’s a fan of Alex Cora. It could come down to the Sox and the Dodgers.

Hernandez entered the league in 2016 with the Houston Astros and has played nine MLB seasons in his career.
In his first year with the Dodgers in 2024, Hernandez played in 154 games and batted .272 with 33 home runs, 99 RBI and an .840 OPS.
While the Red Sox’s first option would obviously be to sign Soto, their backup plan includes targeting Hernandez, who appears to have some interest in playing for the Red Sox.
The Red Sox have missed the postseason for three straight seasons and will need to make some moves to be competitive with the New York Yankees in 2025.
Hernandez likely won’t sign until after Soto’s final decision is made, so the next week of the MLB offseason could be very interesting for fans.
