Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell has become a target for Galatasaray

Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell has become a target for Turkish giants Galatasaray ahead of the January transfer window.

The full-back is a key member of Oliver Glasner’s side, having featured in all 11 of the Eagles’ Premier League games this season, as well as three in the Carabao Cup.

Mitchell has been at Crystal Palace his entire career after coming through the London side’s academy, before making his senior debut in 2020. In 158 appearances for the Premier League club, the The 25-year-old has established himself as one of England’s most exciting left-backs.

This has attracted a number of top-flight clubs to his plight at Selhurst Park, as Mitchell is out of contract in 2025. one of which is said to be Man United.

The Red Devils have had problems at left-back for some time now Luke Shaw can’t stay fit and continues to suffer setbacks.

If the Manchester club do make a move for Mitchell in 2025, they will face competition from a number of clubs, with Galatasaray the latest to keep an eye on the full-back’s contract situation at Palace.

Galatasaray are keen to add Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell in his 2025 team

according to In SportsGalatasaray are keen on Mitchell and have already started the process to sign the 25-year-old ahead of the January transfer window. The Turkish side lost Lucas Digne from Aston Villa in the summer and appear to be keen to solve their problems at left-back.

Crystal Palace are highly unlikely to sell Mitchell mid-season given his importance, but the defender can agree a deal with foreign clubs from January for the 2025/26 campaign, given he will be a free agent.

It remains to be seen whether Mitchell will leave Selhurst Park for free and if he does move to Turkey, his situation will be similar to that of Crystal Palace legend Wilfried Zaha.
