Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that he is approaching his last games with the club as he is preparing to leave.
There has been an open secret for some time now that Alonso goes to Real Madrid to replace Carlo Ancelotti.
Alonso did a great job with Leverkusen last season, guiding the club at the first victory of the Bundesliga title, although he also reached the European League final.
The Spanish tactic, who played Real Madrid during his days as one of the best European midfielders, now seems ideal to succeed Ancelotti after what has been a slightly disappointing season in the Bernabeu.

Although it will not be easy to replace a legendary figure like Ancelotti, it seems that Alonso has what is needed to become one of the great modern executives.
Alonso’s work with this side of Leverkusen is not sensational and will be intriguing to see what he can do with even better resources.

Alonso also had some other interesting news after breaking his silence about his future …
Xabi Alonso in Florian Wirtz’s transfer situation
According to Romano’s publication, Alonso also made the fairly intriguing vindication that Leverkusen star player Florian Wirtz does not necessarily think about a transfer to Bayern Munich …

Wirtz has been related to Bayern and Real MadridBut Alonso’s comments here could suggest that he is optimistic that he can bring the German player with him to the Spanish capital.
Undoubtedly, it would be an exciting sign for real to go by Alonso, with Wirtz, without a doubt, one of the best young talents in the game.
The 22 -year -old has shone in Leverkusen under Alonso, so it would make sense for the couple to be linked again in the future.
