“I have to say that I spent five or six laps behind him in Jerez and I’m enjoying it, because it’s amazing to follow Dani,” he said. I ran out of gas and had to go to the pits.
Pedrosa finished 20th out of 23 riders during the test, although he outpaced Torak Razgatlioglu and Alex Rins on the underpowered Yamaha bike. The former Honda rider was 1.5 seconds off the mark set by Trackhouse’s Ai Ogura.
It should be noted that given the experimental nature of the session, the lap times were not fully representative, but this was still a commendable effort.
Why doesn’t Dani Pedrosa ride as a wild card for KTM?
with Tech3 rider Maverick Vinales is out with an injury.some have questioned why Pedrosa has not been called up for another race weekend.
After all, he bagged an impressive podium finish in the sprint in his last wild card appearance at the 2024 Spanish GP.
however, KTM has reduced Pedrosa’s fee Over the years, so there is less tendency to accept the risks that lead to full penetration.
In total, Pedrosa feels his time has passed after reaching 221 starts in the premier class.
Jonas Folger replaced Vinales at the French GP, with fellow KTM rider Pol Espargaro injured.
