Coach Greg Hackett says he thinks William Zepeda will go and find an early knockout of Tevin Farmer on Saturday, March 29 in their 12-round in Cancun. Hackett feels that Zepeda (32-0, 27 COs) knows that it would be “bad” for him if it goes the 12-round distance against Farmer (33-7-1, 8 COs).
Zepeda will defend its WBC -Tussentage lightweight title against the former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Farmer. Saturday’s Zepeda Farmer Rematch is shown Live on dazn. The event time is at 20:00, and ring walk is around 11pm ET.
Zepeda defeated Farmer with a 10-round decision on November 16 last year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One of the judges achieved the battle 95-94 in favor of farmer. It didn’t seem like the 34-year-old farmer had done almost enough to earn a win.
Hackett is convinced that Zepeda will struggle in the later rounds rather than a farmer, which makes no sense. The last time it was a farmer who wore in the last three rounds and had nothing left.
Tevin came alive in the tenth, but only because it was the final round, and he could afford to empty his gas tank. Zepeda also landed the better shots in those rounds.
Early ko?
“I think Zepeda will be in a better shape and will push a lot more. I think he’s going to try to knock out Tevin in this battle. I think he’s going to chase on Tevin early and right, ‘said coach Greg Hackett said IceM Sports MediaAnd predicts that WBC -Tuss -interest lightweight champion William Zepeda will try to achieve an early ko of Tevin Farmer this Saturday night.
“He (Zepeda) knows if this is the distance, it can be bad for him. I like this fight. The style matches are crazy. Tevin has definitely shown that he has a lot more in the tank. It’s going to be a good fight,” Hackett said of Saturday’s Rematch.
