MotoGP rookie Torak Razgatlioglu finally got his first taste of Pirelli rubber on a prototype at a test day in Bruno, and the Turkish rider reportedly noticed a welcome change ‘immediately’.

“Toprac was very pleased with the Pirelli tires, I didn’t compare their DNA to the Pirelli Superbike tires, they are obviously not the same as the Superbike tires – due to the size and the stiffness of the carcass to name a few.

“In any case, the Torac immediately felt very comfortable on these tires, which is a sign that anyone who comes from riding on Pirelli tires will reap the benefits.”

While Razgatlioglu’s history of winning all three of his WSBK titles on Pirelli rubber bodes well for his chances next year, there will be other riders with previous experience on the prototype machine.

Pirelli is the exclusive tire supplier for Moto2 and Moto3 from the beginning of 2024, so Razgatlioglu’s fellow MotoGP rookie, Diogo MoreiraIt also has a history with the Italian manufacturer.
