Three new golf bag drops to liven up your summer

Can a golf bag really “enliven your summer?”

I would think that would depend entirely on how lively a life you live. Either way, these three new golf bag spots have crossed our desk recently. They are very different in style, atmosphere and function, but each of them brings something unique and interesting to the table. We think they are at least worthy of your attention.

After that, we’ll leave it up to you if they’re worth your money. And liven up your summer.

#1: BIG MAX Dri Lite Silencio 3

Growing up as an obnoxious child in an Italian family, I heard “Silence!” screamed in my direction enough times to relive generations of childhood trauma.

of Silence 3 is the latest BIG MAX bag to feature the company’s version of the “silent” 14-way tip. It is designed to lock each club in place to prevent shock. In addition to doing its part in the fight against noise pollution, Dri Lite Silencio 3 is the sworn enemy of the scourge known as “Babazi with the bag”.

Hey, you paid good money for your fake babies. It’s either that or the headdress.

Furthermore, as the name suggests, Dri Lite Silencio 3 it is made of waterproof materials. It includes leak-proof zippers, a double-layer sealed valuables pocket and a rust-proof zinc towel hook with a built-in bottle opener … because it’s never just about golf.

of Dri Lite Silencio is available in three colors: Black, Navy/Off White and Charcoal/Black/Fuschia.

It’s $299 and available now.

#2: Sun Mountain Limited Edition Hometown USA Carrier Bag

If you’re old enough to remember the Bicentennial in 1976, you know what a big major league deal it was. It looks semi-Quincentennial (the official name for a 250th anniversary) is, relatively speaking, almost an afterthought. It’s at least dancing in the suburbs.

Golf companies are starting to launch their 250sth anniversary merchandise and this new limited edition Birthplace USA stand bag from Mountain of the Sun looks like a standout. It’s classic Americana in waxed canvas form.

The bag is, of course, in a red-white-blue colorway and is made from vintage-looking waxed canvas to give it a classic retro feel. It features four full-length dividers, seven pockets, the Sun Mountain X-Fit dual strap and weighs 5.8 pounds.

Additionally, only 1,776 individually numbered bags are being produced. If Paul Revere played golf, he would take one of these on the trip to Lexington and Concord.

And, yes, I know Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride it happened in 1775, but old Paul is my favorite revolutionary, and his house and statue are on the Italian North side of Boston. As far as I’m concerned, it’s an honor LOT.

The Sun Mountain Hometown USA Stand Bag is available now and retails for $450.

#3: Deveraux Golf x Mount Gay Rum Sunday Collaboration Bag

What happens when you combine 326 years of rum-making heritage with a modern atmosphere of golf culture?

You get a golf bag that looks like this.

Make Credit Deveraux Golf for this collaboration that no one could see coming. Mount Gay is the oldest rum distillery in the world. It was established in 1703 in Port St. Lucy in Barbados. Devereaux Golf, on the other hand, is 13 years old. Started in 2013 by brothers Will and Robert Brunner, Devereaux is one of those non-traditional golf and lifestyle apparel brands that emphasizes casual, social and, above all, FUN.

And nothing says casual, social fun like a bottle of rum, right?

of Devereaux Golf x Mount Gay Rum Collection includes jackets, hoodies, quarter zips, polos, hats and t-shirts, all with a nautical, island flavor that Jimmy Buffett would have loved. The golf bag, however, is the centerpiece.

It’s a Sunday bag that lets the world know you’re a Barbadian dude with a penchant for good rum. It’s loud and makes a statement, so why the hell not?

Wait a second! Barbados? As in “Dos Barbas?” Two Barbs? I can hear my mother now.

“Silence!”

of Devereaux Golf x Mount Gay Sunday Rum Bag retails for $248. If you go that far, then you have to add a Mount Gay rum-style headgear for another $54. If you want You go too. Don’t go halfway.
