If you came of age in the 90s before the Tiger, there’s a good chance you did Jesper Parnevik was among the first players to enter your consciousness – and not so much because of his five or three PGA Tour victories Ryder Cup appearances. The Swede attracted attention because of him style. To this day, Parnevik’s name still brings to mind his flip-flop hats and brightly colored ensembles, courtesy of the Swedish clothing brand J.Lindeberg, which was founded in 1996 by its designer, Johan Lindeberg.
Parnevik was J.Lindeberg’s first PGA Tour ambassador and his visibility helped propel the brand into the stratosphere of golf fashion. Parnevik’s sleek, tailored look and performance fabrics stood in stark contrast to the flashy silhouettes of its peers and left an indelible mark on the golf apparel space.
Johan, who started his design career at Diesel in 1990, left J.Lindeberg in 2007, later working with brands William Rast and BLK DNM — and he’s still looking for ways to innovate. Earlier this year, Johan launched his latest venture: a popular luxury golf fashion line called JAY3LLE (pronounced jayelle).
With JAY3LLE, which has been more than four years in the making, Johnan aims to revolutionize modern golf apparel once again – this time, with women at the helm. Johan recently moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to launch the brand, with Princess Noura bint Faisal Al Saud serving as CEO.
“Throughout my career I’ve worked in different worlds, from leather and denim at Diesel and BLK DNM to redefining golf apparel at J.Lindeberg,” Johan said via email. “With JAY3LLE, the ambition was to bridge those worlds into a lifestyle and an identity. It’s a lifestyle vision inspired by the women who have shaped my life as a photographer—my daughter, Blue, and a new generation of confident women.”

The collection includes items as diverse as knitted cashmere polos, hoodies, ballet flats, silk scarves, cuffed trousers and even a hip-length leather jacket.
“We are positioning progressive luxury JAY3LLE to be able to connect fashion and golf in a new dimension,” said Johan. “The product is very stylish and modern and will appeal to a new generation of players. We will start with women’s clothing, but we will also do men’s clothing later. My personal effort when building brands has always been community building. The product will become an item that belongs to the JAY3LLE community.”
Johan’s describes the aesthetic of JAY3LLE’s first collection as “modern power” and “desert country club.”
“The modern resort and desert country club is a place where fashion, golf, hospitality, travel and wellness become a way of life,” he said. “It’s about community and creating a space where women can be completely themselves. You can arrive in a leather jacket, take it off to play golf, stay for dinner and meet like-minded people. The resort is the new social club. The wilderness represents freedom, it gives you the space to dream, explore and create something new.”
JAY3LLE’s first collection consists almost entirely of items in black, white, gold and brown tones. It’s pricey ($300 polos, $500 skirts, etc.), but intentionally so, to stand out in what the brand’s representatives believe is a saturated market. Each piece is designed in Riyadh, made in Italy and is intended to be a functional and fluid garment, suitable for golf and dinner afterwards.
JAY3LLE exists at the intersection of luxury fashion, golf and modern resort. Created for women on the go, the brand redefines golf culture through high fashion, effortless sophistication and a global lifestyle perspective. Combining contemporary design, exceptional quality and relaxed elegance, JAY3LLE creates iconic pieces that move seamlessly from city to resort, from the freeway to everyday life. Golf serves as an inspiration, not a constraint, shaping a new luxury category where fashion, movement, travel and culture converge.

With the brand launch now complete, growth is the next goal. Johan hopes to wear the women on the LPGA Tour, partnering with them the same way he once did with players like Parnevik and the stylish Colombian. Camilo Villegas.
“The collection will speak to a new generation of women who move effortlessly between fashion, golf and resort life,” said Johan. “The JAY3LLE woman is writing her own story. She’s fearless enough to take to the green in twos and confident enough to follow her own path. JAY3LLE is more than a brand; it’s a community, a destination and a place where she belongs.”
