In an Instagram video, Shrestha clarified that the viral reel was never created with malicious intent and was just meant as a playful IPL joke. Addressing the trolls, he urged users to stop targeting innocent people professionally and personally associated with him.
“In my earlier video you took it to extremes when the motive of the reel was just a fun joke. I wasn’t trolling anyone, I had no bad intentions in this joke. I didn’t spread hatred towards anyone. I respect every cricketer because my brother is a cricketer. You call me my workplace, my family, my family, my college. If you want to hurt them and call me at random times, hate me, please go ahead, but stop hurting people related to me, I will celebrate my brother, win or lose, I will always celebrate him”. Shrestha said.
