The second round at the Memorial saw most players’ scores increase in treacherous conditions at Muirfield Village. But someone forgot to say JT Poston.
While other players were hanging on for dear life, Poston went out and made eight birdies and a bogey for a seven-under 65.
The incredible round started Poston in the sole possession of lead halfway through. Ryan Gerard will start Round 3 a shot back at eight under.
Rory McIlroy (74) and Scottie Scheffler (72) are tied for the lead in the 3rd round. Jordan Spieth is heading home early after a Friday 79 saw him miss the cut.
You can watch the third round of the Memorial Tour on TV via CBS and the Golf Channel. Golf Channel opens coverage Saturday at 12:30 PM ET, then CBS takes over at 2:30 PM ET. PGA Tour live on ESPN+ will offer exclusive early broadcast coverage beginning at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, as well as featured coverage with featured sets and slots.
