Ryan Garcia isn’t saying exactly what he means, and that’s what made his latest exchange with Conor Benn so interesting.
The back-and-forth began when Benn accused Garcia of staying quiet after his two fights against Chris Eubank Jr., and he questioned why the WBC welterweight champion wasn’t calling a fight.
Think very hard why 😅 https://t.co/NvAsoBqIkM

Garcia offered no explanation, leaving followers to interpret the message for themselves.
Some fans believe Garcia may be referring to Benn’s size after his weight gain for the Eubank fights. Benn looked significantly bigger than the fighter who previously campaigned at welterweight, and looked more like a junior middleweight or even a small middleweight during portions of the rivalry with Eubank.
The added size became one of the biggest talking points surrounding that fight
Others pointed to Benn’s failed drug tests from 2022, one of the most controversial episodes of his career. However, Garcia stopped short of providing any explanation and ensured that the debate continued under the post.
The timing is notable because both fighters are linked to a potential showdown. Garcia currently holds the WBC welterweight title after defeating Mario Barrios, while Benn has repeatedly expressed interest in facing elite-level opposition following his victories over Eubank.
Whether Garcia was referring to Benn’s size, his past testing issues, or something else is anyone’s guess. What we do know is that those four words worked perfectly to spark a whole new wave of speculation. “Think about why 😅.”
