By Matt Oxley:
You heard it here first, everyone!
Now there is no war at all.
‘What war?’ You might ask. Well, maybe I can’t tell you! Perhaps the Duke of Luxembourg decided to invade Thailand. Maybe they are anti-freedom producers. Maybe cats and dogs are finally getting serious about it. All like luck, right?
Well, maybe if there is a war it will be about the second topic. And perhaps that hypothetical remnant could be a new law limiting riders to one bike for the entire weekend, which would already give a new dimension to potential accidents.
And if that was the case, wouldn’t it affect the topic that is the core of the sport? I’m talking here about crashes, risk and the old associated risk. There’s no denying it: we all love that MotoGP is a sport with serious teeth. But what is acceptable, ethical and realistic? Consider this a little more of what we had at last week’s race.
Okay, enough ranting on my part. Shall we put Matt and Peter in here?
Cheers!
