Fabio Di Giannantonio was fastest in MotoGP World Championship Free Practice One (FP1) on Friday morning at Italy’s Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. Riding his Michelin-shod Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Ducati Desmosedici GP26, the Italian rider covered the 3.26-mile (5.25 km) road course in 1:46.242, leading the 22-rider field.
George Martin was second best in his Aprilia Racing RS-GP26 with a time of 1:46.611.
Ai Ogura was third in his Aprilia Trackhouse RS-GP26 with a lap of 1:46.680.
Maverick Viñales was fourth in his Red Bull KTM Tech3 RC16 with a time of 1:46.694.
Jack Miller finished fifth in the first practice session on his Prama Pramac Yamaha YZR-M1 V4 with a lap time of 1:46.744.

Di Giannantonio fastest in Mugello FP1, Marc Marquez back in P15. The Catalan GP winner continued his P1 presence as the 2025 world champion returned to the track.
Straight out of the box and fastest in FP1, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) picked up where he left off in Barcelona and topped the opening session at home. 1’46.242 was enough for ‘Diggia’ to lead the team in the afternoon, as world champion Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) returned to the field and was consistent and predictable 15Th On the flag.
It was a wet start to Friday’s MotoGP at Mugello but the rain stayed away and the lap was relaxed. Despite his untroubled lap record, the homegrown heroes have been pushing hard and the fans have something to cheer about with Di Giantonio. #49 was 0.369s ahead of George Martin (Aprilia Racing) who suffered a late run at turns 4 and 5. Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) was behind him in third after putting the Japanese rider into the mix. Maverick Viñales (Red Bull KTM Tech3) was best for the Austrian manufacturer in fourth, but the excellent V4 Yamaha of Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) was fifth.
Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) moved up to sixth ahead of Catalan GP stage winner Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP). Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) was fast and led for most of the session, having a small crash at Turn 1 before running into the gravel. Peco finished eighth, while Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) led three Aprilias in the top ten, while Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) was tenth.
Rounding out the top ten in FP1, the best Honda was Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol) in 13th.ThHe’s one place ahead of championship leader Marco Bezecchi (Aprilia Racing), who had a quiet opening session – until the start of practice, which has spoiled him a bit. Then came Marc Marquez, with #93 taking it easy in the opening session; Post-FP1, a pre-scheduled medical review saw him qualify for the rest of the weekend. In terms of Super Subscribers, Michel Pirro (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) was 16Th Cal Crutchlow (Castrol Honda LCR) was 22Th.
