MotoGP: Aprilia previews the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Catalunya.

Aprilia Racing returns to the track at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, after a historic Le Mans weekend with a one-two-three finish by Jorge Martin, Marco Bezecicci and I Ogura. The weekend will also be followed by the second official tests of the season scheduled for Monday at the Catalan track.

Marco Bezecic heads to Spain after another highly competitive weekend, finishing on the podium at Le Mans in both the sprint and long races. Jorge Martin, on the other hand, confirmed his increasingly competitive spirit on the RS-GP26 and will face the home GP fresh from his last victory, 588 days after the French track, as well as the longest race.

The Cirque de Barcelona-Catalunya is a highly technical track where handling ensures smooth turns are a key factor. Its length is 4.66 km, 8 right and 6 left-handed. The first braking section is also significant – one of the most demanding in the championship – it leads in part to 1,047 meters.

Marco Bezeci:

“It’s great to be back in Barcelona and most of all to have two race days in a row because I can’t wait to get back on track. It’s a great circuit and the fans are always incredibly passionate so we try to give it our all.”

George Martin:

“I’m very happy with how things are going. Barcelona is a challenging road, especially last year for us. So the goal is to work hard on what changes we need to make to be as competitive as possible.”
