Top two qualifiers – MTA’s Joel Esteban (1:44.836), Carpe’s teammate, Brian Uriarte (1:45.049) and Leopard Racing’s Adrian Fernandez (1:45.049).
More from the MotoGP press release:
Quills to the pole at the home ground in Jerez. The #28 clears Munoz and Carpe as the home heroes lock down the front row.
Maximo Quiles (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) smashed a 1:44.070 to pull 0.375 for pole position in Jerez, qualifying for Moto3 with drying conditions and the #28 being unstoppable.
David Munoz (Leaky Molly Dynavolt Intact GP) takes second on his return from injury and immediately marking Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completes the top three and the front row.

After weathering wet conditions on Saturday morning, the lightweight class was able to enjoy a completely dry Sirico de Jerez-Angel Nieto, although lap times were separated by larger gaps than seen when the field settles in Moto3. Quiles’ 1:44.070 is closer to the lap record – 1:43.710 – than Munoz’s for Polisiter, and Carpe takes the front row by more than half a second from pole.
Row 2 Joel Esteban (LEVELUP- MTA) took P4 ahead of rookie Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM Ajo), sixth from Adrian Fernandez (Tiger Racing) – just like Uriarte on the best lap time ever. Despite two different machines competing, both set 1:45.049. In addition, Fernandez crashed in Q2, missing the opportunity to improve further.
Joal Kelso (GRYD – MLav Racing), David Almansa (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) and Matteo Bertelle (LEVELUP – MTA) are on row 3. Malaysia’s Hakim Danish for AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI completes the top ten.
