Manuel Gonzalez takes pole position during Moto2 World Championship qualifying at Italy’s Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. Riding his Liqui Moly Dynavolt Inact GP Kalex on Pirelli Control tyres, the Spaniard clocked a lap time of 1:48.474. Not only was he good enough to lead the field of 27 riders, but he was also good enough to avoid Celestino Vietti’s 2026 all-time lap record of 1:49.420, which he set on Friday in the practice session.
Philippe Salac was second best in 1:48.723 in his sole sponsor American Racing Team Calex.
Alex Eskrigg in the KLINT Racing Team Forward clocked 1:48.841 to claim the third and final spot.
Daniel Holgado of CFmoto Inde Aspar Team Calex finished fourth with a time of 1:49.066, while Red Bull KTM’s Ajo Colin Weger finished fifth with a time of 1:49.206.
American Joe Roberts finished 15th with a time of 1:49.657 for his sole sponsor, American Racing Team Calex.
