Marquez told DAZN, via quotes Motosan: “These first few rounds are getting a bit more difficult for me, especially if I try to go by instinct and it’s not going well.
“There is a lot of risk, I still have to compensate with other parts of my body to drive fast. I went out and I saw that I attacked the first three corners, but I realized that there is a lot of risk to continue and find the braking points.
“Knowing that a slight movement of the bike could cause an accident, I decided to wait, I could go ahead with what I wanted.
“I was running on fumes at the end, that’s why when I got there I had nothing left to attack.”

Marc Marquez predicts the Czech Grand Prix as ‘flat’
Looking ahead to Sunday’s main Grand Prix, Marquez revealed that tire wear around the track will be minimal, meaning there will be less chance of physical ‘catch’.
He added: “I have to make a few small improvements, but with that medium rear tyre, I think it’s going to be a long race that doesn’t allow much tire management.”
“In terms of tire management, you know physically you can back off a bit, but here the tire doesn’t like it much, so it’s flat from start to finish.”
Although he is finding his way back to full fitness after surgery on his shoulder and foot last month, Marquez is being touted as a serious title contender.
