FLORENCE (ITA, May 9). Leonardo Fabbri beat Zane Weir (20.24) in 21.43 at the Pegaso International (WACT Challenger). A successful outdoor track debut for Nadia Battocletti who won the 1500n in 4:03.75. Zakity Nene of South Africa clocked 44.44 in the 400m and Louis Francois Mendy of Senegal clocked 13.37 in the 110m hurdles (nwi). Spain’s David Barroso won the 800m in 1:44.56, with Alessandro Casoni fourth (1:46.59 U20NR). Colombia’s Ronal Longa won the 100m race with a time of 10.04 (-0.7) over Cuba’s Jens Fernandez (10.20) and Akani Simbin (10.28). British wins with Amy Hunt in the 100m in 11.17 (-1.5) and Gemma Reek in the 800m in 2:01.26. Italy U20 recorded a speed of 39.87 in the 4x100m relay.
