Miller looks to be in better shape for this bout than his previous bout against Kingsley Ibeh, where he weighed in at 317.6 pounds. Although he is still the bigger man, he looks much better at the slimmer 305 pounds.
His coach, Derrick “Bozy” Ennis, believes there is nothing Jarrell can’t do; he can also jab, box and throw heavy punches. He expects his fighter to have a strong performance tonight. He advised Pero and his team not to go straight for Miller as it could be costly for them, and they could end up getting caught with a hard shot that would send Lenier to the canvas.
Pero weighed in at 251.4 pounds at yesterday’s weigh-in, a difference of 53.6 pounds. Lenier’s coach, Bob Santos, was asked about the weight difference. He said: “It depends on how you look at it.
Who is considered the best heavyweight in the world right now? Usyk, what does he weigh? 222, he was there with Fury. How much did Fury weigh? He was there with Joshua. At the end of the day, skills pay the bills.” Santos added that Pero can fight on all three levels – inside, outside and at a distance.

Pero and his team don’t think the weight will be a problem and have prepared for it. Lenier said he could manage the weight difference; he has done it in the past. “We are heavyweights; one punch can end it all. I feel strong, and I can. You don’t just punch through the head, but can do it to the body as well. We will work all areas,” says Pero about his game plan for tonight. Eddie Hearn said the winner of the match could potentially fight in a big fight later this year, and a championship fight could be likely.
When asked if he was looking forward to a title fight, Lenier said, “It’s the dream of all fighters to be champion.”
Both fighters know the road to the championship starts tonight, and they will do their absolute best to be the one with their hand raised at the end of the night.
