Marsh’s explosive batting puts CSK under pressure
Despite missing out on a century, Marsh completely dominated the contest during his time at the crease. The right-hander smashed both pace and spin with equal authority, smashing 90 off just 38 deliveries. He brought up his half-century off just 21 balls and maintained his attacking pace throughout the powerplay and medium overs.
His aggressive intent ensured that CSK never settled into consistent bowling rhythms. Marsh’s innings showcased boundaries and powerful sixes, reminding everyone why he remains one of the most dangerous white ball hitters in world cricket.
Josh Inglis and Marsh lead LSG to victory
The chase was laid by a great opening partnership between Marsh and his fellow Australians Josh English. The duo added 135 runs for the first wicket, effectively taking the game away from Chennai by the middle stages of the innings.
While Marsh played the attacking role, Inglis complemented him brilliantly at the other end with a calculated stroke play. Their partnership left CSK struggling to find answers as the required rate dropped rapidly. Thanks to a dominant opening stand, Lucknow Super Giants comfortably chased down the target with 20 balls to spare. Although their season is now over, they can still spoil the parties of the other teams fighting for a place in the top four.
