RR advances by consolidating early tremors against DC
Despite a terrible start, Rajasthan Royals have shown why they are one of the most resilient sides in IPL 2026. After leaving Suryavanshi for 4 (2b, 1×4), Dhruv Jurel joined Captain Parag in the middle. The pair navigated a treacherous powerplay that ended with RR at 56/2 before shifting gears to demolish the DC spin twins, Akhar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.
By the end of the 10th over, Royals had successfully recovered their innings, reaching 92/2. The partnership flourished under pressure, with the pair putting up a 50-run stand in just 28 deliveries.
Although Akhar (0/29) and Kuldeep (0/13) tried to dry up the runs, Parag’s aggression in the middle overs ensured that the run rate remained above 9.00. With the live forecast predicting a total of 199, the Kings successfully turned a disastrous start into an absolute team position as they cruised into the back half of the innings.
