
High scoring clash Indian Premier League (IPL) turned into a tale of missed opportunities for Rajasthan Royals (RR)as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) easily chased the dreaded target. Despite the passing of a sensational century Vaibhav SuryavanshiRajsthan lost the match by five wickets. The RR captain after the strike Rian Parag explained the reasons for the defeat.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s blitz lights up the Innings
Royals firmly in control after posting a total of 228 for six. The innings was fueled by the breathtaking knock of young sensation Suryavanshi, who smashed a blistering century off just 36 deliveries. His fearless batting and explosive batting featuring clean hitting scored one of the fastest centuries in IPL history and gave RR a strong platform.
The batting unit produced a match-winning performance on a relatively flat surface. However, the game was soon abandoned due to faults on the field.
Riyan Parag explains the reason for the defeat
Speaking after the match, Parag admitted that his team performed well in most aspects, but they could not hold their nerve on the field. He emphasized that against quality opposition, reducing catches is often crucial.
According to the RR skipper, the team executed their plans effectively with both bat and ball, but their inability to convert chances into dismissals proved costly. He emphasized that the players liked it Abhishek Sharma and others are very good at second chances, and once they let them go, they made the most of those opportunities.
“I think skill-wise, we did pretty well, but I think we dropped a few too many catches. Quality players like Abhishek and everybody batting, I feel you can’t catch them and really give them a second chance. And they got them, so credit. But we could have been better in the field.” Parag said in the post-game presentation.
Note that SRH fully capitalized on Rajasthan’s mistakes. Abhishek, who continued with 57, was given two lifelines early in the innings. He paid RR a lot and put together a crucial partnership of 132 Ishan Kishifluent speaker 74.
Adding to RR’s woes, Nitish Kumar Reddy it fell even when he was still settling in on the 14th. He then hit a valuable 36 to swing the balance further in Hyderabad’s favour. Repeated breaks allowed SRH’s batting line-up to build momentum and turned a tough chase into a manageable contest.

Despite a record-breaking 36-ball century from Suryavanshi, SRH’s top order responded aggressively to ease the chase. Man of the match Kishan (74 off 31) and star opener Abhishek (57 off 29) laid the foundation for a 132-run second wicket partnership. Nitish (36) and composed finishes Heinrich Klaasen (29) Notched the fourth-highest successful run in IPL history, keeping the Orange Army to the target with nine balls to spare.
