
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) produced a clinical batting performance to beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) With six wickets in the 57th over Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium. Chasing the elusive target of 193, RCB cruised to a breathtaking unbeaten century. Virat Kohli Sealing the win with five balls to spare and cementing their position in the points table.
After electing to bowl first, RCB got out with the ball as KKR posted a staggering 192/4 in 20 overs. However, Kohli’s masterclass in the chase swung the momentum completely in Bengaluru’s favor as the veteran batsman silenced the critics with one of the best IPL knocks in recent seasons.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh shine for KKR
KKR started aggressively despite losing wickets at regular intervals. Find Allen He gave the side early momentum with a quickfire 18 off just eight deliveries, smashing three boundaries and a six before departing. Captain Ajinkya Rahane also looked positive during his 19-run cameo which included three fours and a six.
The shot was then brilliantly steadied by the youngsters Angkrish Raghuvanshicontinued his impressive IPL 2026 campaign with a smooth 71 off 46 balls. The stylish right-hander mixed elegance with aggression, hitting seven fours and three sixes while keeping the scoreboard moving throughout the middle overs.
Cameron Green chipped in with a valuable 32 off 24 balls, but Rinku Singh’s late strike took KKR closer to the 200-run mark. The left-hander remained unbeaten on 49 off 29 deliveries, hitting three fours and two sixes in a superb finishing effort.
The bowling effort for RCB was decent without exception. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood and every goalkeeper took it Rasikh Dar Salam also contributed with a scalp. Jacob Duffy and Krunal Pandya struggled to stem the flow of runs on a stroke-friendly surface.

RCB’s chase started positively but not explosively. Jacob Bethell He played a short attacking innings of 15 before falling early, pulling Kohli firmly into the limelight. The former RCB skipper looked in complete control from the start and gradually turned the chase into a one-man exhibition.

When he guided RCB home in the 20th over, it was a knock full of authority, timing and immense conviction. Jitesh Sharma Tim David’s short stay did little to disrupt Bengaluru’s momentum, while he added the finishing touches with a quick cameo.
Among the KKR bowlers, Karthik Tyagi emerged as an outstanding performer. The paceman took three wickets for 32 runs in his 4 over spell and consistently troubled the RCB middle order with his changes of pace. Veteran spinner Sunil Narine also took the wicket and maintained control during the medium overs. But the rest of the bowling attack struggled to contain Kohli’s relentless onslaught Vaibhav Arora, Anukul Royand Green proved costly on the night.
