Steiner, who was team principal of the Haas F1 team before joining MotoGP, was asked to choose between the two major sports.

He replied: “They’re both beautiful, it’s like when you have two children, you can’t tell which is better and which is prettier. Formula 1 is a beautiful thing. For me, it’s all about motorsport.”

“Now, logically, we always look at Formula 1 and MotoGP because they’re top class, one of the motorcycles and the cars, but there are a lot of motorsport categories that are pretty good.

“I enjoy both. I’ve done it for forty years. It’s funny.”
