Gresini Racing has issued an update on the condition of Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer following their respective crashes during qualifying practice for the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix.

After his examination at the hospital, Gresini issued an update on Friday night, stating that Aldeguer – like Marquez – will need a late fitness test before Saturday’s FP2 session to determine his continued participation in the Dutch GP weekend.
The Murcia native has started the current campaign on crutches after breaking the shaft of his left leg following an accident on his road bike during his own pre-season training.
Aldeguer missed the opening round of the season in Thailand before returning to Brazil. After the second restart he put together some impressive results, including P2 in the Catalan GP despite an injury-plagued first season.
Marquez showed promise during timed practice at the Dutch GP on Friday, and despite the crash bringing red flags, he earned an automatic Q2 place.
He set a personal best time of 1:31.701, while Aldegger finished 14th in 1:31.861 and will have to go through Q1.
