Gervonta Davis disabled his X account, along with his Instagram account, yesterday, September 26, 2025, after a back-and-forth argument with Shakur Stevenson. Tank Davis’s account shows, ‘This account does not exist,’ indicating that he has disabled it, at least for the time being.

In the past, Tank Davis disabled his X account in July 2025 and November 2024. It would be self -destructive for Davis to keep his account disabled during the full eight -week build -up to his fight against Jake Paul because he has to make jobs to promote the fight. He can’t leave Jake to do all the hard work himself.
Davis (30-0-1, 28 CO’s) probably got tired of fans who decided for his retirement, as many of them wanted him to stay in the game long enough to fight Shakur in a mega-fight.
Stevenson also unleashed a fire storm of fiery posts in response to the announcement of the tank on September 26. Instead of blocking him, Davis chose to reply to many of Shakur’s angry posts. Of course, this was a labor -intensive and time -consuming task.
Shakur Stevenson responds to the retirement of Tank
Stevenson responded to Tank’s post on X on September 26 and warned his followers that he was retiring in ‘8 weeks’. It is understandable that the retirement news of Davis Stevenson upset because he had a fight against him since moving up to the 135 pound division in 2023.
WBC lightweight champion Stevenson needed a victory over Gervonta to turn him into a PPV star, because he couldn’t go on his own, given the combination of his defense style of fighting and the lower-seeded fighters he was combined.
“Tank Davis, he didn’t look good in his last fight. He didn’t fight against the murderers in the division. People get off the tank train,” commentator Sergio Mora said Box with Mannix and Mora.
It doesn’t matter that supporters jump into the tank train. He is fighting a very popular fighter, Jake Paul, who has a massive follow -up on Instagram, X, Tiktok and YouTube. Paul will bring in a big audience to watch the Davis Exhibition match on November 14 at Netflix.
