Bezecchi and Martin have worked on improving Aprilia’s electronics for their 2026 bike, for which Trackhouse stars Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez tested a new chassis in Jerez on Monday. But Aprilia’s handle-ski concept should have caught Bagnayan’s eye.

Having ridden exclusively on Ducati machinery since debuting in MotoGP for Pramac in 2019, Bagnaia will be entering new territory next time he replaces Martin. In 2021 he joined the factory team of the Borgo Panigale brand and won the title in 2022 and 2023.

Aprilia is also fielding Bagnaia, who can develop over time with Bezecchi, while Martin will step up to the 2026 riders’ ranks after four rounds and move to Noale at the start of the 2027 regulations. So, any early gains Aprilia makes are likely to be huge.
